Information Hub is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, disclosed, and safeguarded when you use Information Hub.
Information collected
Account information
When you authenticate with Information Hub, the service may collect your email address, username, and user ID from the authentication provider.
Content data
Information Hub stores the content you add to your library, including:
- articles, videos, podcasts, books, films, shows, and other content items you save,
- RSS feeds, YouTube channels, and Spotify subscriptions you configure,
- folders, tags, ratings, and other organizational data, and
- your reading, watching, and listening preferences and status.
Authentication tokens
When you connect third-party services such as Google/YouTube or Spotify, Information Hub securely stores OAuth tokens so it can access those services on your behalf. Tokens are used only for the features you authorize.
API keys
If you provide API keys for OpenAI or Groq services, those keys are encrypted and used only for the features you enable, such as embeddings, recommendations, or query enrichment.
How information is used
Information Hub uses collected information to:
- provide and maintain the service,
- sync your library data across devices,
- fetch content from connected services such as RSS feeds, YouTube, and Spotify,
- provide search, organization, recommendations, and related features,
- improve the service and user experience, and
- respond to inquiries and support requests.
Google and YouTube API Services
Information Hub uses YouTube API Services. By connecting your Google account, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Information Hub's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What YouTube data is accessed
With your authorization, Information Hub requests read-only access through the
youtube.readonly scope to access:
- your liked and saved YouTube videos, and
- your YouTube channel subscriptions.
How YouTube data is used
Information Hub uses this data only to display your videos and subscriptions in your feed and library so you can browse, search, and organize them alongside your other saved content.
Limited Use commitments
- Information Hub does not sell or transfer your YouTube data to third parties.
- Information Hub does not use your YouTube data for advertising.
- Information Hub does not allow humans to read your YouTube data unless you give explicit consent, it is necessary for security purposes, or it is required by law.
- Information Hub only reads this data and never modifies your YouTube account.
Revoking access
You can revoke Information Hub's access to your Google and YouTube data at any time through your Google Account permissions.
Data storage and security
User data is stored in MongoDB databases and protected with HTTPS transmission, secure session management, and encryption for sensitive authentication tokens and API keys. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.
Third-party services
Information Hub integrates with Google/YouTube, Spotify, and Vercel Analytics. These services have their own privacy policies.
Your rights and choices
You can export your library data and delete your account data through Information Hub's privacy and data management settings. You may also request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your personal data by contacting Information Hub.
